Research interests: UN Peacebuilding, EU External Action, International Bureaucracies, Western/non-Western approaches to Conflict Management, Subaltern Diplomatic Practices. Focus on: Enlarged Mediterranean, Sub-Saharan Africa, South America (6 years working experience in Colombia).

About

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Naples "L'Orientale. I got my Ph.D. in Political Sciences from the University of Genoa, Italy. I was Visiting Researcher at the Centre on Conflict, Development & Peacebuilding in Geneva under the supervision of Prof. Keith Krause, and at the GLOBALCODES research group in Barcelona, under the guidance of Prof. Oscar Mateos Martin. 

I am the author of several scientific articles published in top Italian and international journals (e.g. International Peacekeeping, Journal of Intervention and Statebuilding, Global Society). I am a member of the Società Italiana di Scienza Politica (SISP) and of Centro Interdipartimentale di Ricerca sulle Americhe (CIRAM). Italian native speaker, fluent in English and Spanish, with basic knowledge of French.

Research

I am currently researching non-Western approaches to Conflict Management  and Peacebuilding and the way they influence traditional Western-led strategies to (post)conflict scenarios.
